If that's the only bet you have made then there will be no PC liability ( under the 250 mkts rule).
If it is part of a large number of bets you have made over time, then you shouldn't just view it a stand alone wager. The whole picture of the bets you have made and the accumulated charges you have paid have to be considered. |

Real Micro Bettor.
To put your mind at rest, I can reveal that no PC is payable on imaginary bets. Hope this helps. |

It's hard to get into that mindset though FAFH. Alot of us view it like this. No surprises that liquidity in alot of markets is down. People are put off having a punt where they don't have a good enough edge.

So the PC charge helps them take money but it MUST
MUST be stunting liquidity. ----------- and the evidence for this is? |

Btw RMB , I like the copyright icon.
You never know. You might become a legend eh ? |

Evidence Viva? Since when has that become part of the equation for posting on here ?

Becoming a legend. Possible. I've certainly got an harem of tarts who follow me on here.

When some people slam me in an amusing fashion I am objective enough to doth my hat. When frames slams me it's amusing, fair play. But I don't get how turtles posts are amusing, though I suspect you lot would be found beating one another off at a Jasper Carrot gig.

Welcome to the PC whingers club RMB.
Expect to see plenty of FAFH, Feckwit and heynoodles defending this unfair tax. |

Hey FLL bud. I see. They're very passionate about it.
Strange thing is, they keep suggesting we punt elsewhere, which if we were all just big football match punters would be fine, but for any smaller markets the liquidity isn't there. This place is a monopoly and imho it is an abuse of such powers. Hope you're fairing well FLL! ![]() |

Eurovision was great. AI pretty good too.
Cocked up on BGT, but still nicely ahead on the year. Unfortunately after my ESC wins I can add korals and 888 to the firms that won't even lay me a tenner. So I'm now basically screwed everywhere on the HS apart from a couple of firms who will still offer me a reaonable bet at times. And ofc betfair, who as you say are expoliting their monopoly position and nabbing a large chunk of my winnings even though unlike Korals or other HS firms it's not their money I'm winning. |

Eurovision was nearly a dream for me. AI was bad :( and BGT was pretty good financially and fantastic for moral in my faith of this countrys taste! Being denied at the bookies, especially in Specials is a pain. I suggest you get a close ally and bet with an account under there name. It's great to secure and build nice pots of money on Specials using the HS.
My point vep, though maybe very tepid, was that most punters are risk averse, so are going to be put off from taking gambles knowing they'll be hit with a PC if it comes off. Obviously in the Long Term it's all the same but most punters I speak to in the PC equally shy from taking such punts. If people are in a position where they know a big punt win will put them in PC territory then they'll refrain too. Must be stunting liquidity imho. |

why have you suddenly started whinging about this now, anyway? if you're so sh!t hot, presumably this is a problem you've had for nearly three years.
it's not even tuesday lunchtime / wednesday afternoon ffs |

I'm a real micro bettor, PC doesn't affect me.
Because there are markets where it just seems deeply unjustified. |
|
By:
What makes me laugh is when someone says, the tax does not affect me.It hits us all in different ways. The decline of this once great site is all down to the pc tax.
|
|
By:
RMB ©, here are other places to bet. Why come on the only site with a premium charge and then complain about it?

You've obviously never tried to get a bet on with a highstreet firm after having often just a couple of nice wins.

PC defo stunts liquidity and moreso the fear of PC. I've never paid PC but profit lifetime is down to 23% so PC not far away so I play more and more elsewhere. I don't think BF intended PC for a simple back one or two in a type race punter like me who doesn't trade, arb etc but the net is wide enough that I'm almost in so they lose most of my business - c'est la vie post PC. Case in point. Alot of people like yourself about. Many a punters mentality who pay PC will evade certain punts as well. Clearly it's creating an exchange with decreased liquidity. |
