The reason they removed it was probably because the OP encouraged everyone to go purple.

freedom of expression doesn't apply in the united kingdom of betfair
|
|

what was the gist?
|
|
By:
Putting aside the call to go purple it was about somebody that allegedly set up multiple accounts, avoiding £36kish of PCs and betfair subsequently seeking said £36k. Some discussion ensued about the legality of seeking that sum and the thread had not yet developed into a discussion about the downsides of watching purple paint dry.

thanks.
that was all discussed at some length before iirc. |

Hello there Sunderlandfan.
Why should freedom of expression apply, this is negative advertising. If i owned a shop i would not let someone hand out leaflets in it saying that my shop was rubbish and they should use the shop round the corner instead. |

I might get some placards made up and start protesting at televised race meetings
p.s. ive never paid the said premium charge, but utterly detest it's very existence; clealy yankee doodle CEO David Yu has a short-term agenda |

Thanks velP! Do you mind if I call you "velP!"? I could save that to my spellcheck if you don't object.
I am not really fussed whether this is old or bad news but I would like to talk with you about things in general. How to be out by £500 on a PC calc? I guess to be out £500 on profit is ok but out on £500 on the PC would be awesome. |
|
By:
do please feel free.
much as I'd like to add to my own, er, mystique, it was a £500 discrepancy on gross profits I thought I was seeing. but then I looked into it further and it got confusing because there were a couple of other part-settled markets in there I hadn't spotted. as I'm not going to pay it either way, I couldn't be bothered to work it out. it's probably right anyway. |

I suspect it got zapped, because the legal implications of the PC in Australia were discussed, and this could have been construed as encouraging legal challenges.
