just looked at my PC statement for last week, and the figures seem to include profits from part-settled markets. (either that or I made 500 quid more last week than I thought I did.)
anyone check their numbers and tell me if they're seeing anything similar? or experienced similar in the past?
I don't know if they have made an error, but partially settled markets are not supposed to be included in PC calculations until the whole market is settled.

yeah, that's what I was told - and that's what's always happened before. bit of a nightmare to work out this time of year, with so many season-long markets settling and part-settling.
well, guess I'll have to trawl through the figures and see if it stacks up.

It probably depends on whether commission has been charged already. I had a bet on Wycombe to be promoted and paid commission on that bet. The Championship promotion market has been settled but I've yet to pay commission on that market. I've not bothered to calculate whether the Wycombe bet is included in the PC calculation but I suspect it has since I've already paid commission. I know the Championship promotion market hasn't

CLYDEBANK, the promotion markets on League one and two have different rules than the one for The Championship. The Champion ship market is a place market with 3 winners and wont be in PC calculations until the whole market is settled. In Leasue one and two it says in the rules that all teams costitutes a separate and indipendent market, so the market on Wycombe is fully settled.

Eddie I still view it as a partially settled market fwiw. Thought there was a chance that viva did too which is mebbe why it didnt tally up how he thought it would.

You are wrong. The promotion market on League one and two were actually 24 different markets for each of them. 20 out of those 24 markets have been fully settled for both leagues and are therfore correctly allready (the week they were settled) in PC calculations. This could also be what happened in viva's case.

just to complicate matters: commision will be rebated across league 1 and 2 promotion markets so that it tallies with your total net profits across all selections .

diggler, you are correct. I only read the first sentence of the rules.
Each listed team constitutes a separate and independent market. Although commission will initially be charged on each team separately, commission rebates will be made, after all of the markets have been settled, so that the total commission actually paid across all of the listed teams is aligned with your total net winnings across all of the listed teams.
WTF is the point in complicating things like this. As I read it the market will in the end be settled as a normal place market , so why the rules confusion ?

Eddie I would put it like this....If Betfair call a clementine a satsuma, in my mind it's still a clementine. I'm not wrong because I was talking about how I view the market not the blurb that Betfair use to describe it.

eddie, i think the reason why betfair did the markets like this was because they were worried about teams going into administaration etc . a team in the championship could have folded half way through the season and the football league decided that 4 teams would get promoted from league 1 . betfair just covering themselves in case bots got in a mess if it was set up as a normal 3 to be placed market. same with relegation markets.

anybody know what the normal timescale is for commision rebates on markets like this , talking about league 1 (and 2) promotion, so far ive had normal commision charged on winning selections but no rebates to tally with overall net market profit/loss
