I would imagine they look through accounts that are very active with good turnover, but perhaps not quite making it pay, and offer a helping course to them?

so do they just invite people at their discretion then and is there anything i can do to increase my chances??

lol as if you need an invite for a course you have to pay for.
They'd be falling over themselves to have you along if you pick up the phone. |

But thats the point, if betfair invite u to take part u don't pay mate, they do!! that is whole purpose of the question in the first place. Obviously i could book a place and pay for it but money is tight and can't afford it hence pursuing other ways to try and gain a place.

How odd.
Somebody who knows how to make a fortune on Betfair tells somebody who doesn't how to do it. Surely anybody with a modicum of savvy can see the catch here. If they teach you anything it's nothing you can't teach yourself. |

whilst i agree with you to a certain extent not all of the above i believe to be true. for example i don't believe you can teach yourself the confidence required to be successfull as there is nothing like having ur strategies and methods mulled over by highly efficent traders that have records to back up their reputations as solid market players.
I suppose that by your thinking we could also abolish the whole education system in this country as there is nothing that school/colleges/universities can teach you that you can't learn with a good encyclopedia! But then maybe you are indeed correct and the governments of every country in the world are wrong..... Regards Fluffnut |

"Those that can, do, those that can't, teach, and those that can't do either, hang out on the betfair football forum" |

cheers paulol atleast someone can take a thread seriously i don't know why people bother to clog perfectly good threads up with either immature rubbish or little digs,if they don't know the answer to the op's question then by all means view but don't waste everyones time by writing **** for no reason at all other than posting for postings sake.
Hopefully someone will point me in the right direction but thanks to everyone who has posted so far without cracking wise ones. Regards Fluffnut |

Fluffnut.
They should definitely invite you, even if only for the originality of your user name. Cutely crude. |
