odds seemed less jumpy than normal.....just me?  how do I know whether crossmatching is activated in a race (inrunning) and when not...i`ve heard that it is switched on and off deliberately....

In some baseball markets tonight, it was off, but later in the game, same markets, it was on. Strange.

a few non-betfair (unless there's something they're keeping quiet about) bots were off IR today as well.

was doing some football matches in play. the relationships are fairly obvious.

does betfair give information, when they switch crossmatching on and when not?

The site was much better without cross matching.  Those were the days when you wouldn't be totally shafted by leaving an unmatched bet up half a second too long.

I quite like the cross matching. not the skimming, mind - just the cross matching.

v.c. - they only seem to announce it on australian markets. I think there are different legal ramifications to it there, becuase they also don't skim on aussie markets.
