There was a thread on here a while back about someone discuss the issue of bank building to a certain point and once outside their comfort zone unable to take it to the next level over a similar time period.

It was something like ' why is it I can build my bank from £1k to £10k but building £10k to the next level it falls apart'

Anyone remember it ? and able to bump it up?

Obviously all relative but I have I similar issue, steadily multiplied starting banks within my comfort zone with the space of a few days or weeks by 20 times. But then trying with a higher bank or just to kick on from there it all goes pear shaped or the climb is far slower.

I remember reading the seeing the original thread but didn't pay close attention at the time.

no that's not it. I'd say it would be about a year ago, perhaps less or a bit longer but definitely not this year.

I suspect one of main reasons is that your STAKING can get out of control when you have say increased your bank from a small bank .

What I am doing ,to try to control my tendency to OVER STAKE once bank has substantially increased, is WITHDRAWING PROFIT at least once a week.

This physically means that you have got to bet still within limits of a "small " bank............so if you take a hit you don't wipe out most of profit made.

EG starting with £120 I have made about £580 profit last 8 days. On 5th day I withdrew £330, so my bank to start with , after the withdrawn amount, was £280. Now up to £376 currently. I will withdraw another £90 now, to keep my bank "small" , but still larger than starting bank.
Hopefully this will avoid me grossly OVER STAKING on one daft bet.

If I do take a HIT , then it won't wipe out profit gained.

Each week , hopefully, I can make regular profit......stick some away from site , just to make it that wee bit more difficult to top up bank and "chase".

Early days for me........but it seems to be KEEPING ME IN CHECK re staking SO FAR..................... only 8 days thoughDevilLaugh

Why not build a £1,000 bank up to say £3,000, then withdraw £1,500....build bank up again....then withdraw some ......as it is probably the daft OVER STAKING on 1 bet that is also knocking you and most punters back trying to make vast sums quickly.

FFS - .......it shows DOLLARS ...but when you convert an amount in sterling to dollars for transfer purposes....it transfers out STERLING at the DOLLARS amount ! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh well ......will control me even more , as not adjusting position ...though £59 less than I wanted to bet with now......still have a higher bank than start day though.......so will make do with that for next 6 days!Cool

try to build your bank slowly and protect it against all costs .
REMEMBER 3% componding per week on 1k increases your bank to over 21k after 2 years .
The reason why many fail is because they dont understand the mechanics of gambling , they want too much , too soon .
thanks ,

ignore anything DFCIRONMAN says, after 7 years on here and starting numerous 'money making' threads still showing a loss.

@zealot, just a quick question if i may? does 3% compounding mean trying to raise your bank by 3% every week as in your exampleConfusedConfused not sure what u mean. thanks.

JW - I suggest you ignore anything Deltâ says, as he obviously has not read ALL my threads ( can't blame him/her for that though!).

If you check on BETA forum under "Most Replies" (in General section) under thread -

CORRECT SCORE MARKET FOOTBALL BETS ONLY- SMALL STAKES

the last post there by me sets out the facts re the CS threads where from £2,000 start bank I made £17,000 roughly over 7 months etc etc

As clearly my "experience" is relevant to your thread topic, then what I have suggested above is one way of having a step by step way to building bank.....and tucking profits away for the day when a hit comes. OVER-STAKING after a winning run probably is why most punters don't manage to "scale-up". Pushing too hard for rapid profit growth.

I've posted a practical way you might use to place some steps to "control" and protect profit growth.

As stated above I started 8 days ago with £120 and have made profit of :-

Horse Racing: £398.57 | Soccer: £203.71 | Tote: |  Total P&L:  £602.28

I am transferring out all the profit still on BF and returning to start bank £120 TODAY.

If I get a "bad" day ...and it will come......then i know I can draw down another £120 and start again etc out of profit.

Once I hit say £1,200 profit, then I will up the bank on here to £200 and transfer profit out every few days to keep bank small, as I know I can still make "good" profit regularly from small bank.

OVER-STAKING has always been my "problem" on here.......Making good profit from small bank size has NOT been my "problem".....So trust this post helps you find a way forward....
