Recently some new laws about gambling have been enacted in Belgium. I read some kind of transcription of that law on the internet, but the language they use is so difficult and unclear I can't make out whether the use of Betfair in Belgium is allowed or not.

It looks like some foreing companies can still be active as long as they have a licence, that's a part I guess I understood.
So I sent a mail to Betfair asking if it was legal to play on BF in Belgium and if they had a licence.

They said they didn't encounter problems being active in Belgium, while ignoring my question about a licence.

Does someone know an answer to this? Or some guys from Belgium who can help me out?

I was in Belgium in late January and you could not place a bet using Betfair although you could access the site.

Weird, I can place bets in Betfair in Belgium.

But that doesnt necessarily mean it's legal.
Belgium is always slow in executing a law.
Certainly with the political circus going on now.
