DO you have a row of cells with your return from each market, If you do lets assume they are in column A.
In G2 type the following: =SUM(A:A) In G3 type the following: =G2*2% I hope this explains it , as its hard to on the forum... let me know and I will see if I can explain better if that doesn't help |

Thanks for your reply, but what I am trying to say is:
How do I set up my spread sheet to update my balance in G2 automatically so as I trade I can see what my balance is and use 2% of available bank on the next trade. I am trialling in-running trades and don´t watch or listen to the races as I find this gets in the way of my thinking. GGR |

Update in automatically from where or are you asking how to build the spreadsheet from scratch? Are you putting you p & l from your
your trading into a spreadsheet? |

Update in automatically from where
I knew this would get complicated, basically I want my available balance to update directly from Betfair. I have the spread sheet up and running, but I don´t want to take up time updating my balance manually. I want to use 2% of my available balance for the next trade. thanks again. |

Sorry I can't help you so if you want it to update automatically from Betfair. Compound Magic is excellent at excel or there will be others I am sure that may give you a hand

Many thanks for your help.
I am in my 50´s now and I can remember my Gran asking me to tune her new video in, I thought at the time, surely she can do something as simple as that, it´s only a video recorder. Looks like my time has come to ask the youth of to day to help me with my phone, computer, excel etc. There was a record released in the 60´s I think, called "Born To Late" Obrigado Tchau GGR |

Hi GGGR,
you ask how to update via Betfair. What do you have as a connection to Betfair? Are you using one of the API's eg Gruss (IMO the best)? |

Thanks Gitmo
I am using The Geeks Toy at the moment. |

GGGR,
I have heard of the Geek's Toy but am not familiar with it. I think that they have a good forum. Might be worthwhile posing your question there, though you probably have thought of that already. |

Thanks again, will give it a go.

Geeks Toy doesn't offer Excel integration [yet].

Thanks Rocket
Will keep learning until they do. That´s has got to be the reason The Toy is free, when they start charging I may not be able to live without it. But if it was not free, I probably not have paid for it and never realised what I was missing. |
