Won't affect folk who don't use the betfair interface but here's what they're introducing:

CASH OUT - Control your bets live In-Play. Take a profit or limit your losses with just a click. Betfair does all the hard work automatically telling you when you can cash out. Only at Betfair.

LIVE VIDEO - Watch thousands of live events with the latest streaming technology, all in the same screen as your betting.

TIMELINE - The new In-Play timeline tracks all the key match action in a glance. No matter when you place your bet, you know what’s happened.

FORM & STATS - Get an instant overview of the latest stats to inform your betting choices, all in the same screen. No more searching and flicking between web pages.

FORUM - Follow the latest chat from the Betfair forum from the same window as your betting. All our members’ most popular comments and posts are streamed in as the action happens.

Not sure what the Timeline one means exactly but it sounds interesting.  Can't see how adding forum comments to the market view will help on a Saturday though as it can already be quite slow.

Looks good to me. Anything that helps people get into betting in play suits me just fine.

Dunno about the New InPlay Experience, but the current one (via the API) seems kinda sticky to me over the last few races. Could be my connection, but i don't think so Sad

I would suspect that most people are starting to treat your posts as being exercises in humour ( and they are very witty and funny btw) rather than being constructive criticisms Of BF's innovations.
You must have been a wonderful second guesser at your workplace, when you used to work.

Point made.
I know you do think rather deeply about all this.
It's just a pity that sometimes this fact gets lost in all the sarcasm and humour.
Btw don't stop either completely though, as I enjoy reading these types of posts.
Just mix it up a bit more with some semi-serious stuff.

Timeline is probably a bit like the way bet*** shows
"60th minute, Arsenal Corner"
"68th minute, Arsenal Bottle it"
"70th Minute, Goal Newcastle"
etc in a list or something.

Don't mind it AS LONG AS it doesn't mean the guy doing suspend isn't sidetracked entering the data, and that's clearly a valid worry giving the current habit of leaving suspend on in smaller games with less workload.

AS if on que, a few minutes later, they screw up the first few minutes of Albania Slovenia, even though they're showing the game live on their own site. Don't know whether to laugh or cry, they don't seem to get the whole reliability versus features things ..

I suppose these things run well in test mode for them, and then when they go live they go tits up.
Happens in all areas of life unfortunately.

People are certainly jittery about using BF currently.
Not really seeing the normal levels of liquidity on a lot of the football side mkts in particular.

"Only at Betfair" for the cashout is awesome when WSEX have had it since at least 2001.

it's a weird one. a lot of the time it effectively entails buying sh!t value wholesale and selling it on retail.

so a lack of customers through the door is not what you want to see.
