Would not disagree with the above comment, but that's only going to help the 0.5% of Betfair users who make the biggest profits.

How about doing something for the other 99.5% of users, many of whom will have lost money due to their incompetence. This time it only cost me £22 on one race, but that was still enough to halve the profit on the day, not to mention fact I could not trade many races and (more importantly) could not trust the service Betfair were offering.

Thank God I took a day off yesterday that's all I can say. I'd have been stung, gauranteed.

What actually happened? When did the outage occur?
Report scarecrow February 6, 2011 12:12 PM GMT
outages rocket there was three seperate ones yesterday!! between 12.00-9.30pm
Report Coachbuster February 6, 2011 12:14 PM GMT
Malcolm , agreed it affected everyone great and small , but it's just that when you pay a sizeable charge you expect a service of sorts .

Paying this charge is all about having a top class service ,user friendly with high volume .... that makes it partly justified in my book

coach all i expect is a stable platform not much to ask imho.it is disgraceful that everytime they roll out upgrades the site becomes so unstable.it would not be so bad but once the site goes you do not know if bets have been taken making it impossible to either cover on another exchange, bookmaker etc.my suggestion to them would be to have a no frills sports exchange because i suspect that is all most would want with just the basics so there is less to go wrong.

They should send a betfair babe round to pc payer's houses to give them a buckshee ****. They pay the least commission among winners so why not spoil them further? Fk the losers as they would've lost anyway.

What a stupid thread.
Report Coachbuster February 6, 2011 12:28 PM GMT
scarecrow- i reckon evertime they have a future upgrade it may be worth taking the week off in advance Grin

Why do they have to keep meddling with this site ? its becoming a mess , the navigation bar has been fecked for a few days now .
Report Rocket to the FACE February 6, 2011 12:29 PM GMT
Something new to contend with every week.

Last week we got mugged for our BF Points as well.

Report Rocket to the FACE February 6, 2011 12:37 PM GMT
IT's all part of their drive towards being a mug bookie. Casino, arcade, fancy forum with blogs, Angy Grays f*cking face on every corner of the site etc

If they could do both at the same time it wouldn't make a difference but the above seems to come at a cost i.e the actual exchange sh*ts itself and crumbles into dust.
Report Coachbuster February 6, 2011 12:46 PM GMT
If BF did want to offload the exchange  at the expense of the bookie/games end of their business then it would leave no option to head purple , that site in turn would pick up and (hopefully) evolve ,this isn't to say that the same problems wouldn't exist ...it could even turn out a lot worse as they would therefore become the monopoly.

Someone ,somewhere has decided that one betting exchange is more than enough .

I reckon Arsenal backers wish it had been down from 6 till 6 , £2 million at 1/10 and less.

I heard it was caused by a spit rebounding off an open hearthed coal fire on to his router. [:o]

"Rocket"........I felt the same about the Betfair points, but my figures were eventually corrected during the morning of February 2nd.

Report allinadayswork February 6, 2011 6:07 PM GMT
Not quite in the PC range but wouldnt be happy (to put it mildly) having even more money taken after I'd lost out due to the outage I must admit
