Have you tried looking at .. there's a 'directory' somewhere.
.
http://solutions.betfair.com/
Have a dig around in there, there's categories for stuff like bots and so on.

Of course given betfairs current reliability, you can't be at all sure the site will be up to DO the stop loss [:(].

ibrox
i found that on google
know nothing about it
what is a stop loss in running mean please?
Report Just Checking February 5, 2011 3:26 PM GMT
You're recommending it and you don't use it :)
On the solutions site there's a whole section on 'automated trading'.

A stop loss will mean as the odds change against you you set a limit at which you, or in this case the bot, will jump in and take a loss but limit that loss against what it would be if it kept going and e.g. you got wiped out and lost it all. It stops the loss.

greedkills,a stop loss is when i lay at say 10 and put in a stop loss at 7 to reduce my liability if the horse goes on to win,it will only be matched if the horse reduces to 7 in running, not sure if i make myself clear,if you download gruss you will see the stop loss function
Report greedkillsmybankagain February 5, 2011 3:32 PM GMT
u mean u lay at 10 prerace
then put in a stop loss at 7 in running?
Report greedkillsmybankagain February 5, 2011 3:32 PM GMT
i thought most 10s prerace
will go 7s in running and a lot lot less
doesnt mean it will win
Report ibrox February 5, 2011 3:34 PM GMT
wittering, you are probably right but i have no idea how it is done, gruss is the one i usually use manually

"i thought most 10s prerace

I don't do horse racing, but if that was true, just from the obvious maths, we all should be as it's a traders dream.

So .. I'm guessing, and common sense would also tend to say, it's not.
Report greedkillsmybankagain February 5, 2011 3:53 PM GMT
ok maybe not most
