I was reading about raising your bank by 10% a week. Can anyone tell me (I could work it out but I'm lazy) what that would mean in, say 6 months. Let's say, for talking sake, a start of £100 so at week 2 it's £110 and so on. Is there a formula for this??

Sorry mate.
If you're too lazy to work that out, helping you do it would be a great disservice.

Pretty sure that someone specializing in sports betting dynamics could do this.

To Lori and the other one, I realise now that new people trying to learn are not welcome on here. It's obviously a buddy club of know-alls but I am thick skinned and I will press on, confident that there are some people out there with courtesy.

If you're new and trying to learn, what qualifies you to have a tipping service?

richiscoul, you can't really blame people ridiculing you when you come on here asking for something all sain people should be able to do themselves in a few seconds.
To get the answer you want you just have to open the calculator on your computer, put in 100, multiple with 1.1 and then press once on = for every week you want it compounded.

You got me there, but you really shouldn't try to ridicule others for incorrect spelling as long as you don't get it right yourself.

He's ironically mispelt it but spelt is a valid word, spelled it more american English, so telling him he's completely wrong is actually more wrong than getting a letter wrong.

Hth!

Perhaps we should change the post header to 'Calling any word experts'

My dictionary tells me that spelt is the past tense of the word spell

I could not detect a fault when I read spelt.

The Management if you like crosswords did you see the one show last night? Article about how mysteriously during ww2 codewords for D Day started appearing in the The Telegraph crossword, quite interesting.

100*1.1*1.1*1.1=3 weeks.

You multiply 1.1 for each week
