Tried to back Del Potro with a bookmaker at 11/20 for 100. Repeatedly the clock spins and my account shows no new bets. I repeatedly try all the time the odds are changing. Finally some 5 to 10 minutes later it shows I have an open bet. The price at this time is 11/10 but when I look at my bet its at the 1st price of 11/20

I got in contact with them on their live chat and the woman I spoke to didnt really understand what I was saying. Just kept saying that odds in play can change quickly. When my complaint was I still got the old odds. She did however add that the bets are put on the system manually and so can take a few minutes

So my reading of this is they have "a few minutes" to either have gained an advantage in the bet or to simply refuse it. My 11/20 was 11/10 when it finally showed up on my screen. Had it been 1/4 I very much doubt it would have been acepted

Now the bet lost so 11/20 or 11/10 is a mute point. It does however stink doesnt it?

The poor betfair cheats have only got 7 or 8 seconds on the flies-round-sh1te markets. Their eyes will be green.

We should be careful of putting betfair on a pedal stool. It's a damp sqid imo.

No it's a squid. A sqid is a sea creature hence the dampness imo.

I just looked it up and a squib is a firework. Thanks, I have learned something useful today. Actually two useful things because a nice person on Chitchat has explained how to use an awkward piece of kitchen equipment that had me stumped.

The pedants missed that one! Anyway, it's a mood point.

Did you know 'moot point' can mean worth debating or not worth debating, weird that.
