If you have not entered events in my market, select 'My Markets' on the main page in the gray box bottom left in side menu and in the pop up enter your events and save. My Markets will now appear at the top in gray side menu To add or subtract entries click on customise markets top left blue in side menu.
Once you have saved your entries they will appear in the side bar and you only have to click them.

Thanks, whilst this does allow me to add Aussie events to 'My Markets', as you've inferred, the customise function is useless if you already have markets saved in 'My Markets' as it automatically deletes them when you add new ones.
This has been an issue for ages, and what should be something simple for Betfair to fix, continues to be dysfunctional.
Any other ideas?

embarrassment to BF to have non-working buttons on the site for years, imo. not fixing it in the run up to the ashes/aussie open a bit of a farce.
I asked this question in the last online chat.not deemed worthy of answering.embarrassment to BF to have non-working buttons on the site for years, imo. not fixing it in the run up to the ashes/aussie open a bit of a farce.
Been a pain in the rear for at least two years and probably longer but I'm trying not to exaggerate.
Just throwing in a post to agree with the frustration of it all and that you're not alone.

Thankfully (in terms of Betfair induced levels of frustration) I was away for the Ashes, but I'm back in the UK now and ready to work on the Aussie Open. The '+' not working really has an effect on how I go about things.
I've emailed Betfair just in case they've got an easy fix...

Customise Markets does work if - you use firefox and right click on the my markets pane and click This Frame/Reload Frame immediately before Customising Markets (I think the same is possible in IE but not in Safari, not sure about Chrome) - don't attempt to move or delete any markets in the Customise Markets popup - don't attempt to do anything on the main site such as refresh (in fact might be better to have auto refresh off) or select a new market
And yeah these bugs have been there for at least three years and probably will be for at least another three

Sorry point 3 should be - don't attempt to do anything on the main site such as refresh (in fact might be better to have auto refresh off) or select a new market before you've completed and saved the markets you've added

This is Betfair's reply in response to me saying the 'plus' feature doesn't work and that customize markets is buggy:
Dear Templeton,
Thank you for your e-mail.
Unfortunately the 'plus' feature for adding markets to your 'My Markets' list does not operate for Australian Markets.
You can still add these games by using the 'My Markets' or 'Customize Markets' tabs on the left hand menu.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries.
Kind regards,
Michael Clarke

The tip from GoBallistic worked, so thank you. However it didn't work when I tried to add something which was part of an event in the middle of my list (if that makes sense?)
This is on Google Chrome and customise markets without the 'reloading frame' method has never worked for me.
