if you're using an external mouse.... its either the connection or its knackered, get another one
if you're using the laptop mouse pad..... its probably knackered plug an external mouse in and try that. You can try mouse settings in the control panel to see if you've accidently changed it to use something other than what you want. |

Likely that some software you have has decided to check for updates every time you start your PC. Have you got anti-virus ? some of them are worse than having a virus. They take over your PC's CPU checking every click you do against a badly organised database. Check your task manager when this happens and google any process that is eating up your CPU |
