Thankyou compound for responding .
Event 1=loose Event2=win Event3=win Event4=Loose with my strike rate i end up winning but not alot . I have two in each event and over the four events i do get a profit without increasing my stake. tried putting this into one formulae and made a big mistake. any help with this Please ? |

Todat for example
Critrea 19 events 2 selectiont per event 9 winning events |

Sorry to butt in but what are you looking for - a staking plan of some sort ?
|

Would it be possible to make a bigger profit if it were in multiples ?
Is there a formulae that could do that.Sorry and i know that you are more into solving difficult and complex problems and i really do thank you for entertaining my meagre request.Thankyou again for any help in this regard. |

No swearbor.
A formulae for backing two selections and if the selection looses how much is required to recver losses. |

Ah - I see...I know a bit of excel but not enough to give you anything useful of the top of my head. Would dutching calculators be any use ?

Is it a formula for updating your win% that you require?
If it is formula's for keeping track of commission, profits, ROI, Win%, number of selections or something else. If so, I would need to know what information you have in each column. All that can be easily done. If it is a formula for increasing the profitability without increasing the average stake size this can can also be done. It seems like you need a spreadsheet, set up to do all of the above. You really have not shed any light on what you want the formula to actually portray. |

While I was typing my last post I did not see your replies to Swearbox.
Any recoup formula although easy to do, would only speed up the total loss of your punting bank. If I can help someone to make a profit that's good, but to help them lose, no way will I assist. |

Sorry Mr compound
I did not really make it apparent but what i was trying to do myself without a result is create a formulae that when i place a bet which requires 2 selections and i win and the next event i win and the next event i win and then i may loose the next three .I still make a profit over these events and i am not a wihz at excel so i do know that you are!.!!I cannot work it out .Thus i am asking for your help.? I will tell you if you want. But it should be within your brilliant math grasp that you have shown already numerous times on this forum to help a pure novice. |

A1 and B1 are selections
C1 result 75 15 100 75 15 -90 75 15 -90 75 15 111 31 d5 profit If d5 is loose bet how do i add this to a and b for next bet plus stake as percentage of A and b but not to increase |
|
By:
as a percentage of either a loss or profit if i could work out a simple system @ 42% of this cell or is it 58% then it should be happy days .
|
|
By:
In order to win one needs an advantage.
It is not in math but i have one. |

The first thing you must realize is that with a strike rate of 43.2% you will at some stage get a losing run of around 20 events in a row.
Even at level stakes this means at 90 a throw you could lose 1800.00 to increase your bet size if losing would mean financial suicide. However since you ask, to keep the bets in Cells A and B in the same proportion you would add the losses to 90(normal total stake) giving you X amount Cell A6 would be the X amount multiplied by .833 the amount in cell B6 would be the X amount minus the amount in cell A6. Do not attempt this please, there are a lot of better and safer ways to consider. |

Dear Compound
I really admire you for your excellent and brialliant advice. Sorry if i was to insistant ealier but to talk to such a pro like yourself is asuring in the belife that one is not being led up the pevbiable path. I do not intend to what you advise against more over you may have mist my adavantage which is to limit losses .Not to recoup as the strike rate is superior than the potential loss . It will take me an awful long time to work out your formulae . Thankyou so much for helping me and truly if you want my advantage i will email it to . Once again thankyou. |

Need to say Mr compound Thankyou again.
Fliking around with your formulae with past results. Your are brilliant.!! Have about 2yrs special data to go through so should be fun as going to do a spread if and with your formulae would have made a profit . Dont Know how to do vba so will have to it manually ha but will let you know .Thankyou .Will post results. |

Does anybody else suspect this to be a huge wind up ?
Do you CM perhaps ? |

Always possible F.H.
But I like to help even if there is some doubt. Reading through other threads, a lot of weird hypothesis that I disagree with but refrain from arguing the points. Then again some of my posts may be considered in the same light. Very hard to judge some people and I'm not very good at it. Better for me to be silent than make a fool of myself. Once written or spoken it can not be revoked. Cheers. |

aptly named .You do not have to post as i was looking for advice from a gentleman.Thankyou.

mr compound
I am no use at excel but i can assure you i do have an advantage. I asked for your advice because i have seen you give brilliant solutions to much more dificult problems than mine and did not think it would cause you any bother. Some people just get things into their head when it is not there.Truly . |

Fair play mr compound.
Would Be a disaster doing it that way.And when i bet selection b it only has 15% strike rate which stops the loosing run which did amount to 37 on selsecion A. Still it is profitable the way i am doing it and now know that it really is not worth my while backing selection b untill i can get that up to 25%.That will be difficult.Selection b has given huge priced winners and is profitable but long loosing runs. Once again thankyou for your help. Yours. |
