investors in history with gambling backgrounds, being Ed Thorp and Bill Gross, both say that in investing and in gambling, over betting is the single biggest fault one can have.
They both use Kelly always to size their investments/bets.
Good enough for them, then surely must be good enough for us other mere mortals ?
