Even though players had risked their own funds and met the posted wagering requirements, they were given the "speak to the hand" treatment and were told that they had not played in the "Spirit of the Bonus."

That is horrendous behaviour from Betfair.

Someone had the sense to take a screen shot of the bonus.
http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9145/betfairm.jpg Now I've seen that I seem to recall something like it a month ago and just igoring it as I do most spam. 'get 50% unlimited reload bonuses' seems to have attracted a brothel of bonus ****s. with 10x play through, betting on every roulette number = profit ( until the offer is reneged upon ofcourse ) Seems like they need to employ a more mathmatically minded promotions devisor. Betfair have gone as far as 'Chargebacks' to Moneybookers to retrieve money. Integrity is rarer than hens teeth these days. |

'bf will be absolutely bricking themselves about this
we're rogues! rogues i say! casinomeister said so! CASINOMEISTER!' That's the issue, Eldrick...that they are in a position where they can do what they want and get away with it. |

they have got away with murder on racing so does it suprise they are now trying to do the same with casino, this will have a impact as it spreads over the net but will they do anything about it ? only when its to late

This is a change of direction for betfair inasmuch as they're cheating clients directly as opposed to setting up clients to be cheated by other clients. Perhaps a 20% slice of the action is no longer deemed adequate.

Apologies for my ignorance, but what does '10x playthrough' mean?
|
|
By:
It means wager 10x an amount you deposit. So if you deposit £100, you get the bonus after wagering £1,000.
Often these bonuses are in the form of deposit x and get x free. So if you play through £1000 on roulette, you can expect to lose about £30, and then you get £100 free. Most casinos exclude roulette and blackjack from these offers nowadays, and have a ridiculous requirement of 30x or 40x playthrough. |
|
By:
is that 30 quid just a number or equivalent to 103% overound?
|
|
By:
The overround is 37/36 = 1.02777.. = app. 103%.

The days of BF even pretending to give a damn about us are long, long done. So many of the latest developments aren't even done in house - the fiasco of the forum being a blinding case in point - and the bottom line rules.
