I would like to delete all the blank rows and then combine the text in cell A3 with the text in cell A2, the text in cell A6 with A5, etc., etc.

I think the answer to part two of my question may be to use the CONCATENATE function but I need to get rid of the blank rows first!

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this suits, but, if you copy your data to sheet2, you can use an expression to bring the text together in sheet1.

= Sheet2!A2&Sheet2!C2&Sheet2!E2&Sheet2!G2&Sheet2!I2

You can also enter spaces by using this within the expression
& " " &

Databases do these things easily as well.

and to remove the blank rows, Data-Standard Filter and set it to

Column A = Blank

Then just delete those rows

Another alternative is to do this first ~
In Cell G2 this formula
=IF(F2="";"";A2&" "&A3) Then fill down, copy G2:G500, Then paste special values only, Select A2, paste, then delete column G

Then do as modk suggested for blanks

Many thanks modk and Compound Magic - job done!

Cheers Stow_judge - some useful info in your reply.

Apologies to all three of you for not conveying my thanks sooner but I've been off-line for most of the day.

Thanks again.
