also, any one can tell us what indexs betfair is in...i believe FTSE 250, is there any other stock index that betfair in

you would think big funds would need to own about 30% Of betfair shares for a index ike FTSE 250

Also, betfair wouldn't be to far out side FTSE 100...market cap around £1.7 billion

They have only listed 10% of the total shares in this IPO, that is why they are in the FTSE250. If they had listed most of them then they would be in the FTSE100.

I think Betfair not getting the guys who helped them start up this business and
provide the liquidity is a major negative for them.

whippet - all the shares are listed on the Stock Exchange but only 15/16% were sold by existing shareholders to new institutional investors on Day 1 so it's FTSE 250 for the moment and it will only make it to FTSE 100 if there's a decent share price increase - will need to get to market cap of over £2.5bn to get to FTSE 100 so a share price of  about £23.

betafir IPO prices was £13.00  and now it £15.00....that is a successful IPO listings
