Well another year is drawing to a close.... yes I got my first call tonight about ‘General Betting Christmas Dinner’ and thought **** it is only October – but then when we have a largish group to organise, we might need the time to arrange.
Past years people have suggested a race meeting be incorporated into the gathering.... so I started thinking how about a dinner out of London the night before or after a good race meeting, and most many can stay over.
So how about this year ‘general betting Christmas dinner’ is part of a night away.
Obvious choices
Newbury Nov 27th
Cheltenham Dec 11th
Thoughts ??
Or we can revert to a simple Saturday night in London?

I would defo come if available but can't do November 27th. I think a night in London as in previous years would get more people to attend but a trip to the races could well prove very entertaining.
I'm up for anything as I don't get out much these days. 
I'm available on either day.
Looking forward to it, especially as I couldn't make it last year.

This forum is so dead..... it might just be three of us,
I'm still of the opinion that it is better not to put faces to people whom you are ( theoretically at least) taking money from.

I could make either date and a night in London is my preferance, although I'll attend whatever is arranged. I'd suggest a return to the OXO tower personally. I can bring one other forumite, Bagwell Purefry, who has attended the past two years but never posts. Thankyou for making the effort to arrange this again.

Either date would be good (the more notice the better as accomodation / trains get full well in advance). Ditto the majority, London night out preferred choice but happy to do the race meeting. Thinking about it, Dec 11th preferred as we could meet Bayes the tv celeb :)

Dec 11th would be best for me and Chelters sounds like a grand idea.
Can you suggest a couple of other dates, Magic? It now looks like I cannot make the 11th but can make the 27th (at a push).

20th is good for me. I think you're right - an earlier date could well be better.
I can't make Nov 20th but could do 27th, 4th Dec, 11th Dec, 18th Dec. Nov 6th might be possible but 13th I definatly can't make either.
You guys have hectic social calendars! Only date I can't do of those listed is 6th Nov, Dec 18th would be v. tricky.

Betfair should open a market on what the date will be. Those people with busy calendars can then hedge their positions and profit from not turning up! :)
