If in a foreign continent this is the only option to ring in bets as there is a large delay in using a mobile phone.
Does everyone else have microphone problems when skyping a bookie?
Usually when i skype a friend it works ok but a bookie always complains about the line.

Should the microphone settings be changed? Usually the microphone volume is up fully and the microphone boost is on. Should the default format be DVD quality, and should I use noise suppression and acoustic noise cancellation?

And is there a certain type of microphone that works particularly well with skype or are they all pretty much the same?

maybe if you used also a voice distortion program so you would sound like Darth Vader you would get your bets placed more quickly....
