Every so often my firewall blocks the Betfair Forum citin a Port Scanning attach.  I'm using Google Chrome.

Anyone else experience this?

About 5 or 6 years ago I regularly had port scan attacks from a flutter address (this is after betfair had taken them over). After posting about it on here betfair contacted me and promised they'd investigate and the scans stopped a short time later. I emailed them asking how the investigation went but I was ignored.

In an organisation with so many ex-city boys I don't think we should be surprised at dishonesty within the ranks. I pity anyone with an easily reversable logical edge or a high form based strike rate. I'd imagine there's no shortage of betfair workers who've left to pursue someone else's career or made a fortune front running successful form punters and insiders. Front running is something they don't seem to take too seriously as no one is apparently watching the watchers. No one should be allowed to access the bets on a market until the market's finished as the likes of the BHA usually take 3 years to act anyway?

If someone managed to download my odds compiling programme I pity the poor sod. They'd soon lose any enthusiasm for it once they realised the amount of race reading required and how much of the work & profits went on accomodating insider 'value' and copy cats or subsidising the privileged commission rates of premium charge calimeros.

I don't believe there were any shenanigans going on Feck.  I believe it was my internet connection getting progressively slower (see my other thread: Virgin Media Traffic Management) which somehow caused Chrome or the Forum to port scan (probably so as to obtain a fresh connection).  Why it would do this I have no idea.
