I am not a massive contributor to this forum but I do read as much as possible and try to take the good points away. One point I would like to make is the difference that teamwork makes in all walks of life. Has anybody considered getting together and sharing ideas and strategies and supporting each other? I know it is about opinions and individual choice but I think there is something in the shared wisdom domain we could benefit. before the world Cup 2 friends and I got together, researched, looked at value and came to the table discussing various options. Not only did this add to the fun but produced very good results. Similarly , taking this in to other sports we looked for betting opportunites in British Open and after day one we decided to back Oosterhuisen @ 36 only 2 shots behind leader. Greened up very nice profit. I am only saying this as I think collaboration is very underestimated. I would be happy (not on the forum) to be part of a small group interested in sharing knowledge, Trading strategies with the aim of long term profit. Now shoot me down or call me naive .

Interesting post

Up until recently I had been part of a trading club discussing ideas and strategies using sykpe (typed messages not spoken) , I left as unfortunately due to increased numbers the discussions began to mirror the football forum on here i.e. full of aftertimers with no opinion of their own.

Before I left I did see the power of sharing ideas and information using a “skype room” which is permanently open for users to alert each other to opportunities etc….

I am contemplating setting up a similar skype room in the very near future for the astute sports punter to discuss such opportunities and to help each other.

Each “member” would incur no charge for joining or any ongoing costs (unless Skype imposed a charge for such an arrangement)  but would agree to contribute to discussions where possible and adhere to certain codes of conduct when in the room etc….

My knowledge covers trading football, and extensive knowledge on most sports where since my gambling records have been formalised (year 2000) have made significant profits from the sports markets from my own opinion and carefully selected proven tipsters I use on more niche sports.

If there is any interest in this concept described above then please comment in the positive and I shall look into this further with next steps on joining this skype group to follow.

Thanks for the reply Boxman. I was not aware of Skype but it does sound good. Like yourself I also trade football and other sports events but only dabble in Horse Racing. I am also in profit mainly due to a cautious nature and trading mindset, however I like to diversify and back and lay as I see fit. Thanks again and good luck with your bets.
