Anyone using the ipad with betfair?

If so can you use the usual website or does it need an app?

yep, and no.

you can run the normal site, but certain things don't load, due to the software not working on apps.

tried an app, and it wont let you deposit money!

i'll stick to using my laptop for BF, and PoRn on the ipad

Works fine the normal site but dont expect to be able to run 3rd party software on it, it is just for browsing and Apple apps basically. Video is drawback, doesnt support Adobe flash player as Apple wont allow it on ipad saying it is the app that crashes Apple PC's the most. So you are left without video on ATR and such sites.

You don't need any app, it works really well and is very fast.

Ipad is a magical experience, really love mine since I got it on Sunday.

Delightful piece of technology [:D]

Bit of a technophone here. Can much / any live streaming can be viewed on Ipads? (sopcast, betfair video etc.)

The silverbacks ... you get this on betfair video

Flash Player not available for your device. Apple restricts use of technologies required by products like Adobe Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates these restrictions, Adobe cannot provide Flash Player for the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

It is nigh on useless for video other than Youtube because of this.

Making it an expensive browsing tablet (minus most video content) with touch screen and iPod built in plus the cr@ppy little apps you get for the iPhone for 600 quid for only 32gb storage compared to a net books 500gb and decent apps/Flash support. Instant on is the main plus along with screen sharpness and simple to use if you are useless with technology/PC's.
