hi all,
i would like to know if market informations like Betting summary - Volume are really useful for bettors.
I mean, for example : in a tennis match between two players A et B.
If 80% of money of "Total Matched of the event" is traded on player A and he loses, what does it mean ? That a lot of people have lost money or simply that most of gamblers prefered to trade money on player A instead of B.

How do you interpret such informations ?

Thanks a lot.

Yes, I find it useful.

Of course, every unit lost by someone is won by someone else (minus commission). Usually the favourite will be most heavily traded in a market.

There are some pitfalls to keep in mind with these figures.

For instance, backing player A at 1.01 for £1000 adds £2000 to the matched figure, whereas laying player B at 100 for a liability of £990 adds £20. The bets are almost identical, but the Matched amounts are affected in vastly different ways.
