50% staking plan is a BAD idea! It makes making a profit very difficult indeed.
Consider this, if you toss a fair coin twice, then 1 win and 1 loss (as you'd expect half the time) leaves you with only 75% of your initial bank under this plan. Betting any set percentage of your bank basically moves profit to the very unlikely high end of the staking plan, and removes a little loss from the unlikely low end of the results, but removes profit from the most likely middle set of results. Back to the coin tossing, start bank of 100. Betting 50% of bank: WW: 225 WL: 75 LW: 75 LL: 25 But level stakes of 50 (half initial bank): WW: 200 WL: 100 LW: 100 LL: 0 A win and a loss at evens doesn't cancel itself out but reduces your bank significantly! |

ROR thanx for the input, however with a strike rate of zero it does mean that by staking 50% i am still going.
I have always deposited 100 after payday with the attempt to get to 1000. did it twice last year and once the year before. This year have had awful run. Jan got to 330 feb/mar/apr and now May looks like may also a total write off. The Santos game yesterday summed it up. My team finished with 8 players!! |
