Has anyone ever paid or heard of someone having to pay taxeson gambling winnings?
Poker players do have to pay in some countrys, why is not for betting people?

Anyone who is sponsored to play is liable to UK tax. Winnings are treated as 'commission'.

most of the top players you see on tv will be sponsored by various poker sites and have entry paid for them into tournaments.

so what about betting. Im talking about betting not poker. Do you know anyone betting or think that it could be possible that people had to pay taxes on betting if they are big longterm winners?

For Fk sake IF you are making high profits ...in your pathetic case ..probably more than £10,000 per decade...........go and see an accountant (QUALIFIED IN TAXTAION) and PAY their FEE.........get professional advice.......or go seek cheap seats help else fkging where
