Due to the financial restraints of family life, what with 4 birthdays, anniversarys, school trips and the like to pay for, ive left this alone for a while now but after having a bit of luck yesterday on the placepot at Ripon, ive decided to have another whirl at this after making a good few £££ on my last 2 attempts, admittedly with bigger banks. But this attempt isnt about the money its about the winners, so dont expect any crazy chancy bets :-)
A smaller bank this time, meaning smaller liabilities, but the same end aim of firstly beating Cluelssinplay`s Betfair forum record of 221 consecutive winning bets posted on the one thread

and then hopefully I will continue until I get to the longest unbeaten run ive seen around on any forum, which is ScottyXS`s overall record of 350 over at PL- which he did laying correct scores.

Anyone can do this if they have patience and a bit of luck , but its not picking the winning bets thats the hardest part imvho, its the discipline of keeping on track, not rushing, and keeping your game face on - its not easy I can assure you !! So im putting a few rules in place to help with this.
Thread Rules:
Start bank £100.00 - from yesterdays Ripon placepot win.
Liability per bet - 20% of whatever bank is at the time the bets are placed - this means I can just post twice per day(2 batches of 5 lays), saving a lot of net time, and also if I do happen to hit a losing bet I only lose 20% of my bank,which is no biggie, and hopefully i`ll be ahead profit wise then anyway.
Lay bets only, NO BACKS Its much easier imo picking losers than winners, and anything can lose, you see it everyday.
Max bets per day = 10, absolutely no wavering here, 10 then stop, if I do more than 10 on any given day then I will email Betfair and asked to be banned forever. I need time out and I know once I get into this I can easily sit here and do 50 bets a day, and thats doomed to fail !
1 selection per event - this saves me multiple laying in 1 race for example and hightening the odds of me failing.

I've got a query with the bet that I struck on Bet 365 this morning.6 of the 7 selections were up pretty early.Well 1 was actually an under 5-5 goals but that was 0-0 at half time, anyway 6 were up & the 7th was for JK Trans Narva game over 0-5 goals.There was only 1 corner at half time etc not much happening in the game.So it was looking like it might be a 0-0.So they were 4-9 for no goal scored so I had £8-00 on etc.Anyway it finished on 0-0,so I collected £39-20 minus my stake it was £31-20.Now if it was on Betfair & an individual bet,then it would have been a straight trade out.Effectively that was what I did on 365. So my question to you,as I dont want to be called a **,is does that mean that the challenge is still valid.Obviously not counting that as bet 15 as it was cancelled out etc.That being the case then my running total would then be £31-20.I know you have traded out on occasion,but it's your thread,so I will go forward or start again on your advise. How do you see it m8 ?. P.S.You were spot on about Barca tonight & I should have checked it out more,but being the best team in the world,I've been backing them blindly.That will teach me.If Real & Villa win tomorrow,that mistake will have cost me about a grand. |

Real Deal , the rules are simple mate - a loser is a loser :-( , it only really counts if you do them that way.The fact that you`ve aftertimed your trade doesnt even come into it, lol. Thats why its so hard becasue 1 slip and you start again, which I know from experience is VERY frustrating !
Its 221 straight successfull bets in a row, either backs or lays or a mixture of both. You could probably do 221 trades in a day, maybe on a few markets, and thats defeating the object. They also have to be posted before they play, or if inplay as soon as you bet. If you wana carry on thats upto you, but it`ll always be there, that 15th bet, niggling away at you like an ingrowing toenail :-) Good luck whatever you decide HGR :-) |
