If one person is backing at 1.3 and that hits the system and someone else goes to lay that using a 5 button will the 5 layer get matched at 1.3 presuming the liquidity is still there?

Thank you.

Currently, the first one to get their bet into the system should get the bet matched at the optimum odds

What you are asking is exactly the scenario BF are 'trialling' - in that they (BF) will match the 5 lay at 5 and match the bet 1.3 at 1.3

So who gets the overround profit from this transaction- have a good guess!

Also, whats to say they wont implement this unannounced - they have form on this already

It is totally logical for them to do this. I am surprised that they are not doing it on other markets. It is free money innit.

Yes it is logical for them to do this - but they must accept that when they do, they are no longer a PTP exchange.

And they are are more vulnerable to an exodus to a better value exchange... It's just an exchange after all. We're the ones taking the risks.

Been doing it on tennis set betting for a long time, over a year I believe.

its on all sorts of sports its only because of non runners that they are not involved in the horse racing markets,i would be amazed if they do not become involved with the in running racing market though sooner than later as it often goes overound they may as well have a free lunch as a normal bot user.

Why would that be the end of IR? People have just got to make sure the price they ask is for is what they are prepared to take?

Well if they weren't offering 'best execution' in running, that, along with the PC, might persuade a lot of people to give the Quack a go. ( I realise that isn't a feasible option at the moment! )

I suppose it comes down to their interpretation of 'best possible price'.
If I lay at say 1.5 and 1.3 is available on that selection, then at the moment I'd get matched at 1.3. If, by backing all the others in the race, they could match me at the equivalent of 1.2, would they?
Be nice if they did, but I won't be holding my breath. As long as I'd still get the 1.3, I could handle that.
