At work there are internet restrictions on which websites we can access. I need access to the horse search facility on the Racing Post's website to update 'my notes' but www.racingpost.com is inaccessible (although http://thebettingsite.racingpost.co.uk is just about viewable). Any ideas how I can get round the problem? Thanks

Proxy server is one. Can use software to setup your home PC to act as one. Or if its like our crappy network, the websites were blocked via the router using a custom DNS server. So all betting sites etc were blocked. Simple solution is set your network adapter to use a different DNS server, such as bt's or sky's.

Wouldn't it be easier to use logmein or similar, rather than using proxy server setup etc?

From work pc, login to your home pc (having setup a free account), then surf the web as though you are sat at home. No security issues or messy setup.

In my work they have blocked access to Betfair etc. but only for Internet Explorer.

Try and install Firefox and see if it works...it does for me ;-)

In my last job all betting sites were blocked, but for reasons unknown I could install Gruss and access Betfair and bet that way.
