Ttt again guys. Just back from my very first 5 mile training run with a decent time of 44.51. 3 full circuits around Concord Park in my locality.

Stamina improving with each run, ta.

Owl4life - I'll let you know the time I'm aiming for when I reach the 13 mile mark & I've run half a dozen runs at this distance. Want to get round in as good a time as possible.

Posted a new PB on the 5 mile distance of 43.21, knocking exactly 1 minute & 30 secs off my first run on Tuesday.

Stamina improving rapidly now & feel the fittest I've ever felt in my life - even more than when I was in my 20's playing regular footy. :0

Just back from my 3rd 5 mile run. Nice to get 3 done in the week, a total of 15 miles. Thanks for all the support on my web page guys. Really appreciate it.

Change of scenery for my training run today. Dam Flask, a local beauty spot close to the Derbyshire Peak District near Sheffield. 3.5 miles is the distance around the dam, so I'm doing 1 & a half circuits to complete my 5 miles.

Looking forward to the challenge, so I am. Laters, oh yes. ;)

Thanks Shanelee - it always spurs me on when I'm running along the golf course leg towards the circuit barrier & I can hear all the balls being whacked to their target! Makes me feel there are like minded guys putting all their effort into their sport, plus I loved golf as a teenager & had a half set of clubs - I eventually sold these to pay for driving lessons, which was the end of my golf, sadly. :(

:) Posted a brand new PB of 43 mins exactly for the 5 mile distance this morning, knocking 21 seconds off my previous best time. Felt tired at the end.

But what a feeling. B-)
