................... Or on anything else, I'm running the London Marathon 2 weeks tomorrow in aid of Parkinsons UK. Parkinson's is a disease for which there is currently no cure and an ever growing number of people are suffering with it.
If anyone can spare a quid or two I would very much appreciate it, Betfair if you are reading how about a small donation??? I'll even wear some Betfair branding on the day if necessary!
LaGramola - brilliant thank you very much indeed :)
First ever marathon on the back of 3 months training ......... Betfair odds don't go up high enough for my chances of winning :( As long as some bloke dressed as Mickey Mouse doesn't overtake me I'll be happy!!
Thanks again :)

I see that you are hoping to do it in around 4 hours Soccergeez. I trust you've been training well. Here's a little incentive to help you on your way - l'll donate £10 for every minute that you beat that 4 hour target by.

Fred! - A very kind offer my friend thank you for that ................... however I'm afraid to say that with the hotter than expected weather and a badly timed slight calf injury I've been forced to revise my time!
Therefore I think your money may well be safe but thank you all the same and GL :)

Insanity later - just noticed you've donated, brilliant mate thanks very much for that!! Thought I'd just check before I went to bed nice and early and got a nice surprise when I saw that.
Thought the nerves would have kicked in by now but I feel fine at the moment :)

I'm sorry to hear of your injury Soccergeez. It seems a little unfair of me to give a performance related donation under such circumstances, it was just an idea to make it a little more exciting. Good luck to you too, I hope your injury doesn't spoil your enjoyment of the run.

Fred! - Oh my God that has genuinely stunned me, I really don't know what to say. Thank you so very very much for your generosity that donation is amazingly kind of you. Thank you Fred!
Also thanks to all for the best wishes, am off in half an hour and now beginning to get a little nervous, hopefully I'll be well enough to report back later :)

Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone that donated and wished me luck, I'm on course to raise over £1000 for the Parkinson's disease society which I'm very proud of.
Finished in 4:32 which was slower than I hoped, covered the first 13 miles in under 2 hours as planned then unfortunately injury struck and I had to hobble the last 9 miles :( The support the crowds gave everyone was phenomenal though and got me to the finish!
Thanks again to everyone on here who supported me I really really appreciate it.

Thanks both .............. first and last marathon don't worry about that :) In some ways I'd love to love running but I just don't. Time to hang the old running shoes up now and get back to living a more "normal" life again!!

If anybody wants to give to charity go directly to that charities website it can't be more difficult than donating on here and I'd suggest a hole lot safer.
