Been looking at this stratagy for a long time now, and decided to give it a go, I have paper traded it extensively and believe that with a LOT of care and a little bit of good fortune, a nice profit can be made.
I am starting with £200 total, split into 4 £50 banks (A, B, C and youve guessed it D).
initial hopes are to double bank 1 and play with the £100 bank knowing full well there are 3 reserve banks available, will be starting with the idea of a £5 profit on each bet (however if things dont go to plan will get out with what is possible)
I will be collecting whatever i win on a monday (firstly clawing my £200 outlay back and then wnsuring a small profit every week.
So here goes, any input, ideas, constructive criticism is gladly accepted
disagree with bridgeboy lol,if u are laying at under 4 and cant take the odd hit you are staking to much imo,but every body diffrent i lay many draws and take the hit, late goals i luv em

I think it goes without saying that i need to drop my stakes considerably, that was my cack-handed way of doing it by spreading profit into the background, it seems as though i was much more careful when i started

Jupp, I agree. Im trying this myself, but Im also backing 0-0 pre KO and laying the draw pre KO. Not sure if thats the way to go tbh. It does feel a bit safer though.

Very pleasing thread, im still dithering between backing0-0 and waiting 15-20 mins or just a straight lay same as Beggs.Very nice profit well done . . . . .

To me, there are a few different strategies that I am considering.
1. Lay the draw pre KO, and back once a goal has been scored.
2. Back 0-0 pre KO, wait 20 min and lay the draw.
3. Back 0-0 pre KO and lay the draw pre KO.
4. Lay the draw after 45 min if the game is still 0-0.
5. Back 0-0 after 45 min and lay the draw. - backing 0-0 here will just reduce your loss a bit if the game ends 0-0.
I have tried all of them in a game or two, but im not certain which one to go with. Laying the draw after 45min will give you a nice lay, and if a goal is scored you are certain to make a tidy profit.
Any thoughts?

Lars T..as a sort of reply Lay the draw Back 0-0 at about 35 mins if you have to. Lay 0-0 at about 70 mins so no liability and most of your green ok Wait for late goal which still happens surprisingly often(depending on Nationality/league)

I might follow you in later think it will be tight for the first 20 mins , no one wants to concede first ia a final. . .Might come in when it goes sub3.4. . .

I dont understand why you are not reducing your stakes(greed)you know you are going to get stung and all your time and effort will be wasted,if you are playing for fun welldone so far,but if you are serious about making it work i suggest you withdraw your 100 and have 6 banks. i would also suggest you use one bank to back over 1.5 goals when you can get 1.5 within 15 mins off kick off(not full bank) but well done and good luck what ever you decide m8

still carnt understand how you never lost a lot more on the birmingham v arsenal match if you backed arsenal at 1.12 for 115 quid..the draw would then be well down sure?

Cheers Tiger. I started this last week, was laying £20 for the average liability of £150. Was in to 3 figure profits, thought I'd up my stake in the City game, whoops!
I think I'll stick to odds around 3.5 and £20 stakes.

When using this strategy, has anyone used the "unmanaged" markets?
Do you think it makes any difference to the "in-play" games? I guess it doesn't really matter aslong as you get the chance to trade out.

lol, always expect the unexpected, and i didn,t see 4 goals from perth thats for sure, but as i have said in this thread if its a worry taking a hit your staking 2 much,so no damage done m8.

Thinking of a related bet during the World Cup..backing 0-0 at kick off and tradin out afetr 25 mins or so depending on whats unfolding on tv. I will be interested to see what the average first goal time is. I look forward to the WC every time and then plough through games where neither team looks remotely bothered for the first half hour. Even teams like Brazil,Spain,Hollands usually take awhile to break teams down. It may be of course that tha goalless odds do not move much in the first half hour to reflect this though.

stupac, my experience of the last WC is there are actually quite a few early goals in the group games, more than I, or my betting wallet expected. However, that seemed to change dramatically when it got to the knock out stages. Worth doing your own study, but I think a profitable bet in the kncok out stages may be HT Draw.

its the norm lol, dutchy, staking not sure what would be the best way forward but its not going to be lumping on and risking most of your bank, little and often would do,risking small % say 5% max. as i have said laying at 4.0 if u cant take the odd hit and move on your staking to much. there is alot said about staking plans, but anybody got a good one let me know thx

Thank God I got out midweek!! been carefully building up my draw-llaying bank from £100 to £500 then bet on a couple of rancid Swedish games on Tuesday and sunk to £400. Decided to withdraw back to my c/card and start again. not this afternoon though luckily. My staking has been a little too high....£40 lay each time and risking £90-£120 each bet. Strange how few games I became involved in actually ended in draws...would probably have won more just letting the bet ride but the risk not really worth it esp in the early stages of a bank. A bit more fine tuning required next time--green up on games I actually think will be draws and let the bet stand where a strong fav scores first.
