Heard it's great for scuba diving, but any info about clubs, bars, restaurants, prices, etc would be much appreciated.

Got B&B there in August and wondered if it's expensive to eat and drink out.

Thanks.... :)

My sister in law lives there with her Egyptian (former goalkeeper) husband. Most western city in Egypt. They've sort of retired early in their 40s and they always remark how cheap it is when they are over here. All he seems to do is watch football all day and relax.

Raspberry Baby... The rating system is something to beware.their 5 stars is the equal of our 3 stars, I would rather have a week in Slough than to go back there..But each to their own..!!Good luck (Take your own= Brillo pads!)..

i've been, its alright if you want to get away somewhere hot and not do alot. food is pretty poor unless you're going somewhere really upmarket like the four seasons. if you want some hot and to relax i would recommend.

dont goto the main town bit though, its an absolute **hole, never been hassled so much in my life. basically, no point in leaving the resort..

Never known anyone go and NOT get a bad stomach, even in the posh resorts, myself and the mrs included. Really got to watch the food if you are eating outside of a resort.

Having said that local pharmacies have a good remedy for the stomach problems that many have.

went last Sept, great diving and snorkling. Why a B&B? some top hotels there for very cheap prices. Main town is bit of a dive (no pun intended), Camel bar is good though. We mainly ate our hotel. Very hot, got a good tan. On average not a bad place, glad i went, but only reason i would go back is for the diving.

I went there in August about 4 years ago.

Very very cheap, very very hot & be careful of scrounchers on the streets trying to get you in their shops.

Cairo worth visiting. The Nile and Pyramids are amazing!

mate has just come back from there and picked up an infection he thinks was from his regulator inside of his mouth his sore and swollen

told me some stories about the place lots of russians there the dodgy type ones who think they rule the place the hotel he stayed in was brilliant and good value and is that big it has a miniature railway that goes around it

don't be put off by germans or russians even if some of them mya be gangsters becasue like you they are on holiday and do not care about you as you shoudl not care about them. Just ignore them and have your own good time.

In fact having lots of russians mean you can have a good laugh at their fashion sense especially their speedos!!! (just don't laugh out loud if they also have lots of tattoos)

went a month ago. lovely place but you will be sick of your life if you go shopping in naama bay with how much you get hassled and pestered by shop keepers etc.
i would have starved having to eat their food all week but found mcdonalds and the tavern bar which is for brits
