I'm trying to import some old data for Norwegian soccer from the following web page

http://www.nifs.no/kamper.php?land=1&t=5&u=5696

I go through the normal procedure - the webpage defaults with the fixtures for 2010

In the import webdata window - I change the drop down menu so it's showing fixtures for the 2000 season, highlight the tick marker above that block of webdata and select import, however it ignores the 2000 data and still imports the 2010 data.

Can anyone try this and find away around it.

Thanks in advance.

You could copy and paste special into excel. May need to format one of the columns so it doesn't read scores as dates.

The only problem is before the scores and the home team's name i'm getting a symbol that i can't remove, it's a small box with a question mark in it.

I've tried pasting it into edit, find, remove and it won't paste. Any advice?

Not really sure of the problem you're having unless you're not using Office 2007.

The table copies perfectly into notepad for myself. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

If it helps I was copying from Chrome.

Pasting from Chrome into Notepad and then into excel worked a treat.

Pasting into excel was working in 2007 (at home) but I still had an issue of the scores appearing as dates.

thanks all.
