I have 2 Sky Boxes. Box A In the lounge and Box B in the dining room.

Both boxes have the same subscription assigned to them.

Yesterday I started getting a no satalite signal (28) on Ch 5 and most Sky channels. ATR was ok but RUK was giving this error.

I rang Sky and they said I needed an engineer.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to** But the main questions is, if I s** the boxes over to eliminate cabling or LNB problems, should the boxes work if jusr s**ped around?

Help appreciated

Firstly take the sky cards out and give them a bit of a clean. Sometimes in the sim gets mucky, you would receive this message.

You are right, swapping the boxes round would eliminate it being a LNB or cabling prob. I presume box A is more important than B so you can live without B till the engineer comes.

take it its sky plus,do you have the call out /repair policy or do you have to pay 65 call out.

Thanks for the replies neither box is critical as I route things through the house via those eye devises so I am not stuck. I dont have any warrenty but just wanted to eliminate things. I just didnt want to go fiddling around with boxes and lose the racing and football today.

I will try wiping the cards

Thanks Guys

unplug for 1 min, touch dish with stick/ brush see if it alters picture, make sure sky cable isnt screwed in to tight.

Well I have s**ped to boxes over and it looks like the problem is with the box. Same problem with box A when plugged into Box B wiring. Also tried the dish but its secure, no birds nests etc :o)
