This is from the Unibond website: Quote: A company called Buzzbet, formerly known as Crookes, offered odds on Non League football and gave specific odds on UniBond teams for winning the league etc. They did a lot of advertising pre-season . A number of Hyde United supporters have made bets and have either not been paid out or received acknowledgement of the bets. All cheques have been cashed. On investigation the website, www.buzzbet.co.uk, has been suspended and the telephone number 0114 274 7688 is unobtainable. The office address is/was 130 Abbey Brook Drive, Sheffield, S8 7UT. If anyone is experiencing similar problems with this company or knows of the current whereabouts of the Buzzbet people then Tony Beard, Secretary, Hyde United would like to hear from you. Its been done loads of times. Start up a firm take loads of ante-post bets at big prices then do one with the money, nothing new.

Belgium facing firm. Would frankly be astonished if they were anything to do with the firm in the press article mentioned and they won't affect the vast majority on here as I believe they are shops only.

wow - dealt with Rob many years ago at PP when they only had a brochure site, haven't heard tell of him in years - was a good lad and if I remember correctly owned the domain www.ireland.com before selling it to the Irish Times. Don't know the ins and outs of buzzbet but looks like he did very well for himself
