One was in play cricket, backed a a team for say for example £100 @ 1.9, soon after I looked and it said that my exposure was £200. The market had quickly moved against me in this time and my team was 2.1 to lay...for £100 I would have been happy to leave it, but £200 was over my comfortable level, so I quickly had to hedge for a lower liability, at sh1tter odds.
I didn't actually realise what had happened and assumed that I had somehow double bet and it was my mistake, so I layed my team for £100 at 2.1. It again showed up as a double bet, showing that I had actually layed them for £200 at 2.1.
Looking thru my account history I had also backed a bet in an Aston Villa side market (not in-running).
Not only was it a losing bet but I know see that it was a DOUBLE losing bet! :_|
Have emailed betfair, just wondering if anybody has similar experience.
but it's impossible to double click, i'm not using any software, this is all done through the standard betfair.com interface
it's literally impossible to have double clicked, I would stake my life that it's a betfair mistake

I've just had the same thing... confusing and potentially very costly wehn trading large sums...
Of course I've now placed bets with half the stakes I wanted and it isn't doubling up. Frustrating.

a few months back on one of the sites weekly saturday afternoon crashes i ended up with about five bets placed on some game which i could do nothing about as the markets completely stopped loading after that.
