I withdrew 5k on my mastercard (i know its a REALLY bad idea to do this but...) to lay kauto star today. I'm a new account holder, so how do i get at my winnings??? Can only withdraw the 5k back to the mastercard.. ta

Did a antepost acca with bookies kauto was last leg to win 12k so had to lay it really.

I asume the problem is that you have other cards that you have net deposits on, and that you cannot withdraw any winnings to the mastercard without making good those losses.
This is a sensible rule by Betfair to prevent people stealing and laundering money.
When you say you're a new account holder, though, if you mean a new betfair account holder, then that should not be the case.

Mastercard dont let you withdraw more than you depsoited - its processed as a refund and a refund cant be more than what you paid for it ....

Withdraw your 5k to the mastercard, and the rest as cheque or bank transfer. Ring up and ask for the rapid bank transfer thing, costs about £5 and goes in the next day, help to pay off that huge cash transaction fee you`ll get from mastercard = £2.50 per £100 = £125 on 5k
