Can Schalke04 stop starting meaningless threads please?

Alright bmtlo? Hows life in Spain? I think somebody dragged up schalkes threads from the archive.

Warm. Very warm and very noisy. Last week was the local 'feria' (fairground) that went on until 4.00 a.m. Actually phoned hotels 20 miles away to move there for 4 days, it was that loud.
As minimum was 70 per night, stayed and suffered and very surprsingly started to get used to it.

Apparently, Spanish and Japanese are noiseist people in the world.

Apart from that, Costa del Sol is great...if you choose the right place.

Has my discilpine improved? Afraid not.

Today was betting on a tennis match and was + 10 + 50 on both players.

Could have left it but carried on trading thinking I could increase both - but the end result = - 40.

You then start to analyise.

I would never have got to + 10 + 50 without trading, so why did you not stop then?

Because I thought I could improve it ..............etc etc .

??????, I don't always study the forums - people like Schalke04 are a reason - but when you get nearer moving, just post my user name and we can excahnge private emails.

As a footnote, I find that anybody doing the same job as they did back in the UK - is much happier here. That's 100% btw.
Presumably anybody else has gone back to blighty.......


Today, to see the whole Spanish families with their kids on the beach from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. is just delightful. Really makes you realise that you don't need big houses, big cars etc.

They set up with tables (2 tables were playing games such as monoploy), parasols, chairs, windsheets and spend the whole day on the beach. The kids run in and out of the sea as happy as Schalke when a 1.04 comes in.
Kids run back for food, chat to granny, dive in and out of the sea - I felt jealous.

Nobody needs a squillion pounds (as Footsoldiers would say) just to enjoy these very basic pleasures.

Totally agree m8, all that materialism is just a trap to keep us on the treadmill. I left Blighty 20 odd years ago, it was a rip-off then and it still is unfortunately.

I'll take you up on the email suggestion, thanks. By the way, you could do a lot worse than follow Footsoldier's hints on the racing forum, shrewd cookie imo.

Sorry to intrude, but was interested in reading your comments about the Spanish families on the beach enjoying life, without much evidence of a materialistic life in order to be happy.

Struck me the weather might have a lot to do with it. When we get good weather in England, many people are happy to just sit in a beer garden or enjoy the weather in a park, ie they're happy with simpler pleasures.

Maybe because we have such sh!te weather here most of the time, people focus more on materialistic values thinking this will make them happy, just a thought.
