They never match, I actually lost several hundred more. Surely it should just be the same, or nearish because of commission, than your weeks P and L. That would be if they wanted it to be easy for us to get to grips with. I'm on UK time, do I need to adjust etc.

Can you make your question clearer?
Cross reference with what?
Report Angela Rebecchi March 3, 2010 9:22 PM GMT
The Gross P and L figure on the Premium Charge sheet says I have won £1k more than I actually have, cross referencing that with the P and L figure ascertained from 'My Account' here typing in 22nd Feb 00:00 to 1st April 00:00. I know there is usually a minor difference in commission, but wondering if I need to adjust the hours slightly.

The implied comms makes it harder to compare as like for like with your betting pnl. Easiest way is to download Betting History records for the period rather than Betting Profit & Loss. Just stick it in some spreadsheet prog and add up the Profit/Loss(GBP) column and the figures should be the same. Remember to include all accounts you have and I'm also assuming the 22nd Feb 00:00 to 1st April 00:00 was a typo and meant 22nd Feb 00:00 to 1st March 00:00

Yeah, was a typo. Still doing that it comes out different. Wouldn't like to think BF were scalping here :0

Are you just comparing the gross figures from the betting history and PC sheet ? Did you have any winning multiples as they don't show on the betting history download ?
Report aye robot March 3, 2010 10:06 PM GMT
The top line P&L is without comission- so there will be a big difference between that and your results if you look at your betting P&L, although that figure should be the same as the total of your results if you add up your betting history. Then there is the comission+implied comission thing, basicly this credits you with much less comission than you actually payed because of the way it's worked out, in the most extreme example- if you were on 5% comission and didn't have a single loss you would only be credited with half of what you actually payed. This is where the discrepancy comes from and you are right that it can be quite a big difference.

If you want to work out your PC position in advance a nice easy way to do it is to use your points, just divide your points for the week by 20 and you'll know how much comission BF are going to credit you for- the rest is simple.

Gross PL on the Premium Charge is the profit and loss (without commission) for that week.
It should, bah commission, be the same as the profit and loss found for the same time period under 'My Account'.

But quite a few times, it is well out. I can't figure out why.

Sometimes, it is the early settling of markets. (I don't do multiples).

Problem is I like to cross reference it, and when it is well out, it makes no sense.

I have emailed BF, hopefully I will get a more in depth breakdown, as to ensure this mystery £1k is debited in the future week, otherwise I am obviously not pleased!

I think they use 2 am either UKT or CET as the start and end of the week , this wouldn't probably matter though.
An easy mistake to make is forget your profit on the Aussie wallet. You have to run a different p & l search for the Aussie wallet.
It could also be an issue with partially settled markets. If you have had losses or wins on a market that is partially setlled , they will show up on your p & l , but not count for PC purpose until the whole market is settled.

i have written a small .net application that goes via the free API that allows you to analyze your commission payments (implied, paid and generated) and predict your PC payment.

i'm reluctant to distribute the .exe but can post the source code and instructions on how to compile it.

They have actually specified that they use common sense where appropriate.

Don't ask me what the hell that means though! (It was in relation to golf betting finishing just after midnight etc, so would tie in with the times you've witnessed I imagine)

Cheers dstyle. That is all above me in truth but appreciate the gesture. Just checked it all out with the BF team and it appears everything is fine. Can't believe on a week where I won next to nothing they made more than I did from commission alone. Fecking sucks so much. Rant over.

The Premium Charge calculation runs from 00.00am (GMT) on a Monday morning until 23.59pm (GMT) on Sunday night.

I thought it was like an hour out as the My Account would sometimes come up at 23:00 automatically.

The figures make for depressing reading.
Report Angela Rebecchi March 4, 2010 5:39 PM GMT
They send you a list of your activity for the week. Unfortunately it is listed from ascending to descending order (wrongly worded probably). So you look at the top markets and everything is a winner, by the bottom of the list it's tears before bedtime reading. A monster red on the Gonzo vs Ferrer match. :0

LOL. Just seen my worst week this year. I lost £4k but my gross P an L is -£2.8k. Fecking criminal. :( Suppose the commission counterbalances it, but on raw view it hurts.
