Sell the debt...easily end up getting a couple of quid a month back for the next few years if you take the legal route.

if you know he has assets issue the 5ucker with a statutory demand, this will put the ball in jis court as he will have to respond, you could then make the khunt bankrupt if you like, its easy to do, no solicitor required, you can do it yourself.

Report I am the one and only223 February 27, 2010 12:55 AM GMT
A guy owed me £1500. I went through the small claims court and I got an attachment of earnings order where he was paying £50 per month. Then he quit his job. The court couldn't do anything. I found out where he was working. Applied for another AOE. He managed to convince the court that he could lose his job if the AOE was enforced. Total** But the court believed him. Never saw another penny. Then 6 months later when the AOE was finally approved, he quit that job. I couldn't find out where he was working after that, and the courts are just SO unhelpful. Eventually gave up. If somebody doesn't have a regular job and doesn't have a permanent residence, they can run rings round the system.

Did this go on his credit record?
It at least stops these thieves from spreading the misery.

Been through the list on this subject...every "debt recovery agent" I've tried so far, despite glowing references, has turned out to be a Walter Mitty timewaster or nicked the money after collecting. Tough assignment. Good Luck tho.

hiring a 'stand over' bloke might get you back 70% of it, if you know anyone in that line of work.
