Would boost many markets. Problem is American insiders information would quickly follow. Especially in Sports that originated in the USA.

Almost certain that they were allowed. betfair stopped taking their bets when two directors of another site got arrested when they were in the United States. They stopped posting on the forums when betfair introduced the KYC requirements to post.
