I need to select 30000 rows but I do not want to select the first 10 rows. At the moment, I am simply scrolling down the page starting on row 11 but it takes a couple of minutes every time. Is there a quicker way of selecting these cells.

Thanks in advance,

Click on the Cell or Row number (to highlight entire row) that you want, then hold down the Shift button on your keyboard. Then scroll down to where you want to be (left click and hold down on the 'brick' in the scroll window to move fast), then click on cell or row number you want to end with. All cells / rows in between will be highlighted.

Thanks, but is there no way of doing this without scrolling? What is "the brick?" I assume it is a way to make scrolling super fast that I don't yet know about.

Can't you just freeze the first 10 rows so that you cannot pick them up?

Highlight your first row, press Shift/Ctrl/down arrow, that will instantly highlight all the rows.

Create a command button. Click the command button icon in the control toolbox toolbar. Double click where you want the button in the spreadsheet. The VBA code for Sub CommandButton1_Click should appear. Type in

Range(Rows(10), Rows(30000)).Select

Close the VBA window. Unclick the design mode tool button in the control toolbox toolbar. You should now be able to click the button and hey presto the rows should be highlighted.

Sorry that should be
Range(Rows(11), Rows(30000)).Select

Select all the rows you want then in the name box type a name like
selection click enter then any time you want to select those rows
go to the drop down in the name box and click on selection. Voila!

Thank you all for your help. I'm going with Aviboyd's suggestion. Excel is truly amazing. I still haven't come across anything you can't do with this program.
