By:
thanks modk, i will try figure it out with vlookup
By:
=sum(sheet1!M:M)
By:
That will keep you going for about 60,000 lines.
By:
thanks jedy but that won't work because I don't want the sum of the values, I want the lsat inputted value
By:
Ah ok, sorry misunderstood. It's got me thinking though...

i know mate, its doing my head in but i will figure it out Have you worked out? If not then what type of data is in the cells you want to track? |
By:
no mate, being honest i left it last night as it was annoying me lol. The numbers are currency figures

Is sheet1 updated via a web query ?
By:
=INDIRECT("M"&COUNTA(M:M))
By:
forgive if im missing something here but i have a similar spreadshhet that i use every day which downloads values. in my sheet to i simply enter
="(sheet 1 name)"!m1 in d10 and as long as you have sheet 1 open, the d10 in sheet 2 will always show what is in the sheet 1 m1. like i say i must be missing something cause this seems far too simple |
By:
=INDEX(Sheet1!M:M,MATCH(1E+30,Sheet1!M:M))
By:
fkqmz, it's not m1 he wants every time. It's the last nonblank cell in column m.
By:
Bay Jesus, your solution is probably better as it will take into account if any cell in column m is blank.
