Report jedyball February 22, 2010 8:41 PM GMT
=sum(sheet1!M:M)
Report jedyball February 22, 2010 8:42 PM GMT
That will keep you going for about 60,000 lines.
Report dlarssonf February 22, 2010 8:44 PM GMT
thanks jedy but that won't work because I don't want the sum of the values, I want the lsat inputted value
Report jedyball February 22, 2010 8:52 PM GMT

Have you worked out? If not then what type of data is in the cells you want to track?
Report dlarssonf February 23, 2010 10:27 AM GMT
no mate, being honest i left it last night as it was annoying me lol. The numbers are currency figures

Is sheet1 updated via a web query ?

=INDIRECT("M"&COUNTA(M:M))
Report fkqmz February 23, 2010 10:47 AM GMT
forgive if im missing something here but i have a similar spreadshhet that i use every day which downloads values. in my sheet to i simply enter

="(sheet 1 name)"!m1

in d10 and as long as you have sheet 1 open, the d10 in sheet 2 will always show what is in the sheet 1 m1. like i say i must be missing something cause this seems far too simple
Report Baby Jesus February 23, 2010 10:48 AM GMT
=INDEX(Sheet1!M:M,MATCH(1E+30,Sheet1!M:M))
Report IanP February 23, 2010 11:03 AM GMT
fkqmz, it's not m1 he wants every time. It's the last nonblank cell in column m.
Report IanP February 23, 2010 11:06 AM GMT
Bay Jesus, your solution is probably better as it will take into account if any cell in column m is blank.
