I stand corrected. good thing i dont lay.
As described above, when a non-runner is removed from a horseracing market it is Betfair's policy to cancel unmatched offers to lay all other horses in the market if the non-runner has a reduction factor of 2.5% or greater for win markets, or 4.0% or greater for place markets. In these circumstances offers to lay a horse with the 'At In-Play: Keep' option selected will not be cancelled. Instead the lay odds offered in place markets will be reduced in proportion with the reduction factors of any non-runner(s) and the same will apply in win markets providing the relevant non-runner has a reduction factor of at least 2.5%. |

OK.....
So I e-mailed them and below is my question and the answer that they sent!!! Good morning, Please can you confirm what happens to my bets following a withdrawal. Do they go ahead of the existing money at the new lower odds please? I consider that they should as they were so at the original price! Thanks............... Thank you for your e-mail. Each horse carry's a Reduction Factor. This can be found to the far left of the selections name on the market page Click the little house like graph. Say the Reduction factor for a heavily backed 2nd favourite is 24.5%, then in the event of a withdrawal all matched bets will be reduced in price by 24.5%. Continuing with the example if you have a matched bet at odds of 3.25, then your bet will stand BUT these odds will be reduced by the Reduction Factor of 24.5% (similar to Rule4) Well I already knew that but it doesn't answer my question! They clearly have one standard answer, for every subject title, irrespective of the detail within the question! |

How would there be existing money at your adjusted odds, wouldn't all bets be subject to the RF ?

That makes sense Ian when one thinks it through.
Surprised nobody picked up on that previously. So everyone on, at the price, has been moved down, and therefore the queue remains the same! Please take the rest of the day off with full pay! |
