If you were to pick 3 of the top teams in Europe and lay the oppo every time they were at home would it pay iin the long term????

If we look at Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona this season they have played 54 times at home in competitive matches and only lost 5 - however in amongst that 5 were Leeds and Besiktas at Old Trafford, and Rubin Kazan at the Nou Camp......Costly losses I'm sure.

If we were looking to make £100 from every bet how much of the £4900 in winning bets would have been lost by the 5 defeats? Over the season is this a safe money maker???

Doubt it Leeds were about 15s @ Old Trafford
Rubin Kazan , I think were about 20-30ish

you list a bunch of teams who won there at double fugure odds (Rubin were matched @50) and then ask if it's a safe money maker :)

You probably get more joy laying odds- on away teams
Maybe some kind person will post stats

almost inevitably to make profit from these teams the only way to do it is to lay them rather than to back them, simply because as a rule they will be overbacked. But you have to pick the right time to lay them.

If you are looking for easy money, look elsewhere.

there was a site called football anorak who used to keep pl stats for each team home/draw/away very useful stuff it was. but they stopped updating it - probably bought out by the bookies!
