Man is it just me or is there a planned outage every other week? Surprised not to see more ppl moaning about it, but being in a different time zone (NZ) it takes out the whole day AND no NBA games :( So we got one tomorrow, there was one 12/01/10, 14/12/09, 10/12/09 etc. Cmon betfair it can't be that hard to plan out what capacity you'll need for the coming year and do it once, or at least have some redundancy!

When betfair moved to another platform a few years back, there was a promise that this had been done so future upgrades could be implemented without impacting on the site. They could be done in the background and the site did not need to be brought down.
Towards the end of 2009, there was more or less an upgrade which took out the site once a week for several weeks. Looks like they are going to start that game all over again!!! And what for? Virtual racing, arcade games etc etc. |

more annoyingly they only give 2 days warning, and only because someone on the cricket phorum emailed them to find out if it was site-wide or just aus

If only they'd left it alone about 3 years ago, seems they're chasing their tail at the moment.
